We offer several easy ways to pay your utility bill

Automatic Payment

Automatic payments from your checking account. Sign up for Automatic Payment to make easy automatic payments each month from your bank account. Customers who sign up for automatic payment from their bank account will not incur a convenience fee. Payments are drafted from your checking account on the bill due date. Automatic Payment customers receive a monthly utility statement and participant's bank statements will show the utility payment deduction.

Pay Online

We accept online payments using Visa, Mastercard, Discover or electronic check. If you make a payment via one of these methods, you will incur a convenience fee of $5.25 per $600 (or less) payment. The fee will increase to $5.95 per payment beginning January 1.

Pay In Person

You may pay in person at our office on Utility Parkway in Cedar Falls. Customer Service is open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

After Jan 1, customers who choose to pay with a credit card, debit card or e-Check in the Customer Service office will incur a convenience of $5.95 per payment (up to $1,000).

Use a Drop Box

You may pay by using the Cedar Falls Utilities drop box. Payment will be recorded on the next business day.

A 24/7 drive-up drop box is right outside our front door, under the canopy at our main entrance on Utility Parkway.

Paperless Billing

Avoid the paper clutter with an emailed utility bill. Sign up for Paperless Billing and you’ll no longer have to keep track of a monthly statement that comes in the mail. You’ll be notified by email when your bill is available to be paid. Using your Online Utility Account, you can easily and securely view and print up to 25 months of bills. Plus, by reducing paper waste, you can feel good about helping the environment. Registration for Paperless Billing is available in your Online Utility Account.

Budget Payment Plan

The Budget Payment Plan is a free service that aids in financial planning. This is accomplished by dividing a customer's estimated annual utility charges into 12 equal payments. This designated amount is billed each month regardless of the customer's actual usage. In order to achieve the most accurate budget billing amount, CFU highly recommends that customers have 12 months of usage history before signing up for this service.
