Please use this form if you wish to stop all CFU services (gas, water, electric, internet, TV and/or phone) as well as all City services (sanitary sewer, garbage collection, yard waste and storm water management).

If you are moving from one Cedar Falls address to another Cedar Falls address, please use the transfer service form to stop service at your current address and start service at your new address.

If not everyone at this address will be moving, service will not be stopped and will stay active in your name until a current roommate calls Customer Service at 319-268-5280 to assume responsibility of the account.

To stop CFU TV, internet and/or phone service only, not your utility service, please contact our Internet, TV & Phone Specialists weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 319-268-5283.

NOTE: CFU must receive this application at least one working day before you want your service(s) to stop. Working days are Monday through Friday, except holidays. If a holiday is selected, service will remain in your name until the next working day. Applications received after 4:00 p.m. will be considered to have been received on the next working day. Service will remain in your name until we receive notice to stop your service. If meters are inside the home, CFU will call you to schedule a time to read the meters before service stops. Any television or Internet equipment must be returned to CFU by 5 p.m. on requested stop date or customer will be billed for the equipment.

Customer Notice:

When you stop service, you must return equipment owned by CFU, such as set-top boxes and remote controls. You will be billed for any unreturned equipment. Billing for CFU TV, internet and/or phone services may continue until the equipment is returned.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not attempt to unplug, disconnect or remove the Optical Network Terminal from your property. This equipment, the fiber optic cable attached to it and the power supply cord are permanent fixtures at the property. Do not remove them.

Security deposits will be applied to the final billing; any credit balance will be refunded.
