Manage your Refuse and Yard Waste

City of Cedar Falls refuse with CFU

  • The City of Cedar Falls Public Works Department (not CFU) provides sanitary sewer, refuse, yard waste and storm water management services.
  • For your convenience, CFU sends customers a single, combined monthly bill covering all services provided by both CFU and the City and assists customers with starting and stopping these services. Find more info here.

  • ​Register for an Online Utility Account to access your online dashboard where you can select billing preferences, submit meter reads, view and compare your utility usage and more. Follow the directions to sign up here. You will need your 10-digit account number to register.
  • Once you're registered, you can login here.

  • Avoid dips and peaks in your utility bill payment. Know what to expect each month with the Budget Payment Plan.
  • Don't worry about making your utility bill payment on time when you set up Automatic Payment.
  • Sign up for Paperless Billing and no longer keep track of a monthly mailed statement. When you sign up for Paperless Billing and set up Automatic Payments, earn a one-time $5 credit on your utility bill!
