Rather than sending all customer bills on the same day, CFU mails bills on six different days throughout the month. You will receive your bill on approximately the same day each month, depending upon your billing cycle. All bills are due in full within 20 days after receipt.
CFU collects or waives deposits based upon a customer's credit history with us. If a customer has a good payment history with CFU, then a service deposit is not required. CFU reserves the right to charge a deposit if:
The amount of an initial service deposit will be no more than the actual, or estimated, maximum charge for one month’s service in the last 12-month period. A reasonable deposit may be required for a temporary or unusual circumstance.

Homeowners who plan to be away from Cedar Falls for a minimum of two months due to a seasonal move or extended trip are asked to call CFU at 268-5280 before leaving town to report departure and expected return dates. More information
