Explore Exciting Careers in the Utility Industry at CFU Discover Day

Join us on Tuesday, October 20 from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. for CFU Discovery day where students can explore exciting careers in the utility industry. This is a free event open to the first 30 Cedar Falls Schools students in grades 9 through 12. (Qualifies as excused absence.)

The event will be a full day of hands-on activities and tours to give students a true picture of what a career in the utility industry looks like.

Students will:

Experience a day in the life of careers in network engineering, energy efficiency, electric line work, construction and more
Try hands-on activities like fiber splicing, water testing, meter rebuilds, electric line work and more
Connect with experts working in the utility field
Satisfy the job shadow requirement to apply for the CFU Scholarship
Enjoy a free lunch and the chance to win prizes

Please note, there will not be transportation from the school available. All students will need to secure their own transportation to and from the CFU office.
