on Wednesday, September 27, 2017
In just a few seconds, you can help your neighbors in need with their heating bills.
Contribute to the Add-A-Dollar program through Cedar Falls Utilities and help local residents pay their heating costs this winter.
It is easy for CFU customers to donate. Fill out the online form available at cfu.net/dollar. Or, complete the Add-A-Dollar section of your monthly CFU statement and mail it back.
No administrative costs are charged to the program, so every dollar contributed goes to help a needy household.
All Add-A-Dollar contributions are tax deductible and a year-to-date report is included on the lower portion of your monthly statement.
"Since the Add-A-Dollar program was implemented in 1985, CFU customers have demonstrated outstanding support," said Jim Krieg, General Manager.
"Last year, 61 households received an average of $259 for a total of $15,800 in assistance. Thanks to all of our customers who continue to donate to this important program."
The City of Cedar Falls Developmental Services Department administers the
Add-A-Dollar funds and determines the households that qualify. All traditional types of home heating systems are eligible for Add-A-Dollar assistance.
The Add-A-Dollar program is a simple way to help others in the community. CFU customers are urged to continue their support. If you would like more information about the program, pleasecall CFU customer service at 268-5280.
