Iowa Rent and Utility Assistance Program Now Available

Customers that rent their home and have experienced loss of income due to COVID-19 may be eligible for assistance through the Iowa Rent and Utility Assistance Program.
Eligible customers can apply for help with past due rent or utility payments including electricity, gas, propane or fuel oil, water, sewer and/or trash removal. All past due payments are for costs incurred no earlier than March 13, 2020.

Cedar Falls Utilities encourages any customer facing financial hardship to call Customer Service at 319-268-5280. There are resources available including payment plans, Add-A-Dollar customer assistance funds, the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and special assistance for customers dealing with COVID-19 related circumstances.
