Access Your WiFi Network with the CommandIQ App for CFU WiFi
Download the CommandIQ App and manage your home WiFi with ease.
Our local tech support team is always happy to assist you with your CFU WiFi network. But if you prefer a more hands-on approach to managing your network, the CommandIQ app is now available.
View or update your network name and password, create a guest WiFi network and share it and even set a daily WiFi limit for certain household users. Learn how to get started below!
Get Started With the App
Step 1
Download the app. You can search for CommandIQ on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, then install it on your mobile device.
Step 2
Enter your email address and location, then select 'Continue' to create your account, configure your system and access WiFi controls and protection. Remember to choose a strong, unique password when setting up your account.
Step 3
Select an option for your equipment. Your equipment and WiFi network should already be set up by our experts, so you can select 'My System and Wi-Fi Are Already Set Up.'
Step 4
Scan the QR code on your system, or enter the system details manually. Your equipment should have a sticker on the side or bottom. Simply scan the QR code. Alternately, you can enter the MAC address and serial number also found on the same sticker.
Step 5
Follow the next steps in the system set up.

Your Quick Guide to Using the CommandIQ App
| View or Update Your Network Name and Password |
Quickly view or update your network name (SSID) and password.
- On the Home screen of the CommandIQ app, you'll select the Network icon on the bottom menu ribbon.
- This will take you to a page to view Wi-Fi Networks and Network Systems (equipment). Below Wi-Fi Networks, select the network you'd like to view.
- This opens a pop-up screen. Here you can see the network name in the text box next to the WiFi icon. In the text box next to the key icon is your WiFi network password. If you select the eye icon, it will "unhide" your password. (There is also a QR code on this screen, allowing you to quickly share your WiFi network with another device. Or select Share to share via text, email, etc.)
- To change your network name and/or password, select Edit Network at the bottom of the pop-up screen.
- A new pop-up window will appear. Here you can update your network name and/or password. Be sure to select a strong, unique password if you choose to update it from the password our experts issued at installation. Select Save.

| Create People on Your Network and Assign Devices |
Create users (People) on your network and assign devices to them.
- On the Home screen of the CommandIQ app, you'll select the People icon on the bottom menu ribbon.
- This will take you to a page to view the People currently set up on your WiFi network. (There may not be any users yet.) To create a user, select the plus icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
- This opens a pop-up screen. Here you can enter the name of your user profile and select an avatar. Then select Save.
- A new pop-up window will appear asking if you would like to assign devices to this profile. Select Yes, Assign Devices. (Or select Skip for Now if you'd prefer not to assign devices at this time.)
- A new pop-up window will appear with a list of devices that are connected or have been connected to your WiFi network. Select those that are associated with your new user profile. Then select Save.
- You can assign new devices to profiles anytime by selecting the People icon in the bottom menu ribbon, selecting the user, and selecting Modify (to the right of Devices).

| Pause the Internet or Set Custom Schedules for Select Users |
Control screen time for each family member by either pausing their WiFi access or setting a schedule for access.
- You will need to have created People on your WiFi network and assigned devices to their profile to set this up. If you have not already done so, see the previous step.
- On the Home screen of the CommandIQ app, you'll select the People icon on the bottom menu ribbon.
- This will take you to a page to view the People currently set up on your WiFi network. Select the profile of the user for which you'd like to schedule access.
- This opens the user profile. You will select the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the upper right corner. Here you can select Pause Internet to turn off WiFi access for all devices assigned to this user profile. (You will need to come back here and select Unpause Internet to allow access again.) Or you can select Set Time Limits.
- A pop-up window will appear to Manage Time Limits for this user. Select the drop-down menu to modify access.
- Select Every Day to set a daily start and end time of when access will not be available. (If Starts is set to 12:00 AM and Ends is set to 12:00 PM, the devices assigned to this user will not be able to access WiFi from midnight to noon every day.) Select the time next to Start to modify and then touch outside of the pop-up to close. Do the same to modify the Ends time.
- Select Custom to set start and end times of when access will not be available for each day of the week. Select +Add next to the day where you would like to add times where access is not available. Select the time next to Start to modify and then touch outside of the pop-up to close. Do the same to modify the Ends time. Then select the +Add button to save. You can add up to 5 time periods per day where access is not available for this user. Select the X in the upper left corner to close the daily pop-up window. (You will need to come back to this screen to Edit or delete access.)
