Students Learn About Utility Careers at Discovery Day Event

More than 30 Cedar Falls students attended CFU's Discovery Day event in October to learn more about utility related careers.

Students experienced hands-on activities and gained insight into the daily work of utility professionals.

"The impact of Discovery Day extends far beyond the time students spent on our campus," says Macey Meyers, CFU Employee Services Specialist.

"We may have sparked an interest, confirmed a career choice, or helped a student see a future they hadn’t considered before, which will impact the lives of these students for years to come."

CFU also offers job shadows for students interested in learning more about utility careers. Interested students can contact kelsey.henken@cfunet.net or call 319-268-5391 for more details.
