Students Learn About Utility Careers at Discovery Day Event
More than 30 Cedar Falls students attended CFU's first Discovery Day event in October to learn more about utility related careers. Students experienced hands-on activities and gained insight into the daily work of utility professionals.
"I found the day very interesting and informative and I enjoyed the hands-on activities," says Davis Thompson, a 10th grader at Cedar Falls High School.
"I especially enjoyed the network engineering station and now have an interest in potentially pursuing a career in this field."
CFU also offers job shadows for those students who are interested in learning more about utility careers. Contact Kelsey Young at kelsey.young@cfunet.net or 319-268-5391 for more details.
