Cedar Falls Utilities Recognized as Top Electric Utility

Cedar Falls Utilities has earned the Diamond Reliable Public Power Provider (RP₃) designation from the American Public Power Association, the highest level of recognition awarded to public power utilities.

CFU joins just 118 public power utilities nationwide with Diamond status, ranking in the top 5% for reliable and safe electric service.

The RP₃ designation recognizes utilities that demonstrate excellence in reliability and resilience, safety, workforce development and system improvement that helps utilities provide reliable services for the future.

“We’re honored to receive this designation,” said Susan Abernathy, CFU General Manager. “Being recognized among the top public power utilities in the country reflects the dedication of our team and the high standards we set for ourselves every day.”
