Small Fire at Power Plant Extinguished

Cedar Falls Utilities crews have restored power following a small electrical fire at the power plant this morning.

The fire was quickly contained and extinguished thanks to the response of Cedar Falls Public Safety and CFU electric and power plant employees. No one was injured, and there was no threat to public safety.

We appreciate the quick work of everyone involved and thank customers for their patience while power was restored.
