Is Your Game on ESPN3? Here's How to Watch

Posted on Wednesday, December 23, 2015

ESPN3 is an internet sports channel that carries thousands of live and replay games and events online each year. Many UNI Men’s Basketball games and other Missouri Valley Conference matchups will air on ESPN3 this season.

We continue to receive customer questions about how to watch ESPN3. The best way to watch depends on what CFU services you subscribe to and the equipment you have in your home.

CFU high-speed internet customers can watch an ESPN3 game (regardless of whether they have CFU TV service) on a desktop or laptop computer using a CFU internet connection. Simply open a web browser and go to ESPN3.com. No login is required. Note that ESPN3.com does not work through a web browser on a phone or tablet.

To watch ESPN3 on your TV, connect your laptop or computer to your TV to watch on the big screen. Several ways to do this are illustrated on our website at cfu.net/espn3. Want to watch ESPN3 away from home? Visit cfu.net/espn3 for more information about remote access.

CFU TV customers can now watch an ESPN3 game on a computer, tablet or phone through WatchESPN, as long as ESPN is part of their qualifying TV plan. In addition to ESPN3 games, WatchESPN provides online and mobile viewing of ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN News and
SEC Network.

If you have a qualifying plan, sign up for a watchTVeverywhere password at cfu.net/wtve. Web and mobile viewing is included with your

CFU TV plan at no extra charge if your service includes one of these items:

  • Set-top box or DVR
  • EZ HD tuner
  • Cable card
  • Online digital access

If your service does not include any of these items, please call 319-268-5283 to add web and mobile access to your TV plan.

To watch on a phone or tablet, download the free WatchESPN app and login using a watchTVeverywhere password. To watch on a laptop or computer at WatchESPN.com, simply visit using a CFU internet connection. Or, use a watchTVeverywhere login if you are not watching through a CFU internet connection

New ESPN Channels CFU Basic Plus TV customers can also watch some ESPN3 games on channels 170-177. Many (but not all) ESPN3 games are simulcast live on these College Extra channels, which are included in Basic Plus TV service. A digital receiver is required to see these channels.
