Small business owners may be eligible for utility bill assistance through the Iowa Small Business Utility Disruption Prevention Program. The program provides federal funding to businesses impacted by COVID-19.
Eligible small businesses and nonprofits that have experienced a loss of income due to COVID-19 may receive a minimum of $400 and up to $7,500 to be used towards utility bill costs.
The program provides relief in the form of direct payments to utility providers for electric and natural gas services between March 17, 2020 and October 15, 2020.
Applications will be accepted through October 31 or until all funds have been exhausted.
