Prevent A Gas Leak: Clear Snow From Your Gas Meter

Heavy or hard-packed snow and ice on your gas meter may block the vent which can cut gas flow to appliances and may even cause a gas leak.

Use a broom to gently sweep snow away and never kick or hit the gas meter or its piping to break away ice.
