on Monday, July 27, 2020
Cedar Falls Utilities customers enjoy high quality services for less when compared to 20 peer communities across Iowa.
Households with CFU electric, water, natural gas, TV and high-speed internet pay an average of $959 less annually than residents in peer communities.
CFU has consistently offered favorable rates, maintaining the lowest combined cost for residents when compared to our peers since 2003.
Every six months CFU surveys utility rates across the state. In the most recent survey, rates from June 2019 to May 2020 were captured.
Cedar Falls residents with all five services paid an average of $271 per month. In contrast, residents of 20 peer communities paid an average of $351 per month for the same services.
We strive to provide customers with high-quality services that bring the best value to the community. Continuing to evaluate how our rates compare to others across the state is one way we help ensure Cedar Falls residents get a great value.
