If you’re adding or replacing shade trees this spring, check out the Cedar Falls TREES program sponsored by CFU. You could save up to $100 when you purchase one or more trees to plant in your yard.
It’s easy to get your Cedar Falls TREES discount at the time you buy a tree. There’s no form to fill
out and no waiting for a rebate.
Simply purchase an eligible tree from a participating retailer. At the cash register, ask for the Plant-A-Tree program discount. You’ll receive 40% off the retail price of one or more trees, up to a maximum discount of $100 per family per year.
Discounts will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the planting season until funding for the year is used up. Anyone who receives electric service from CFU is eligible.
The local retailers who participate in the Cedar Falls TREES Plant-A-Tree program are:
- Matthias Landscaping
- Dierk’s Tree Transplant
- Wapsie Pines Lawn Care & Landscaping
- Meyer’s Nursery
- Earl May Nursery &
- Garden Center

More than 30 popular tree species are eligible for the Plant-A-Tree discount. Some eligible species have changed this year. For a list of trees that qualify, visit one of the participating retailers or check online at cfu.net/TREES.
