Payment Vendor to Increase Convenience Fee

The convenience fee that is charged when customers choose to pay with a credit card debit card or e-Check online or over the phone will increase to $5.25 per $600 payment on September 1. This is up from $4.75 per $500 payment currently.

This fee is charged by an independent payment provider and covers third party processing fees. CFU does not receive any portion of the convenience fee. 

Customers who choose to pay with a card are responsible for the cost of using this form of payment. This helps keep our rates down for all customers no matter how you pay.

Customers will continue to have multiple free payment options including:

  • Automatic payments (ACH) from a savings or checking account
  • One-time payments from your bank account through the CFU Online Utility Account dashboard
  • Payment with check cash or money order made by mail deposited in our drop box or completed at our customer service counter
  • Payment through your financial institution via internet banking bill pay EFT or bank check
