Providing safe and reliable utility services is important to Cedar Falls Utilities. We are here to serve you during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

We know that residents and businesses in Cedar Falls rely on us even during challenging situations like the one our community is currently facing.

Cedar Falls Utilities will continue to provide electricity, gas, safe drinking water and communication services.

Cedar Falls Utilities maintains business continuity plans and regularly conducts crisis training exercises. Steps are in place to ensure our staff and customers stay safe during the COVID-19 health threat and follow recommended guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and the Iowa Department of Public Health.

CFU will continue to provide residents with access to essential services and will deploy necessary staff to resolve emergencies and maintain vital services.

As COVID-19 cases rise in Black Hawk County, Cedar Falls Utilities asks for your help in keeping our community safe and healthy.

Our customer service office remains open. Limiting the number of visitors to the office is safer at this time. Please call our customer service office at 319-268-5280 before visiting. Often, our customer service staff can help you over the phone.

During the COVID-19 health threat, we are not accepting cash or check payments in the customer service office. Please use the 24-hour, secure drop box at CFU’s office building to make a cash or check payment. A receipt for your payment will be mailed to you. Or, use one of our alternative methods to pay your bill.

We remain committed to provide high-quality service to our customers, while doing our part to protect the health of our community. 

Customer service is available to answer questions and accept payments over the phone Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 319-268-5280.
