What to expect when you call
Most of the time this number is answered by an operator who will personally assist you. In the rare event that a widespread outage occurs, this number is answered by an automated system that enables CFU to take a large volume of calls at one time.

You can help CFU respond quickly to outages by adding your phone number(s) to our database.
Our automated outage reporting system recognizes the outage location based upon the phone number you call from, provided the number is in our database. Many customers have cordless phones at home that do not work when the power is out, and use cell phones to report power outages to CFU. Therefore, it's especially important that customers add their cell phone numbers to our records. To have your cell phone added to your CFU account records, please call Customer Services at 268-5280. Be assured that CFU will not share your phone number with a telemarketer.
