Programs Plant-a-Tree SHADE TREE DISCOUNTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR SPRING, 2012.
The program provides a 40% discount on shade trees purchased by CFU electric customers. To use the program, purchase one or more trees from the approved species list at a participating nursery. Ask the nursery to give you the Cedar Falls TREES Plant-A-Tree discount. This program is easy to use, because you don't need an application or a rebate form. Neighborhood Grant Get your neighbors together and save up to 60% on shade trees! This cost-sharing program is for any neighborhood in Cedar Falls where several residents want to add trees to their properties. Cedar Falls TREES works with volunteers from the neighborhood to publicize the program, take tree orders and get competitive bids from two or more local nurseries. We provide planting instructions and deliver the trees to your driveway on planting day. We also pay up to 60% of the cost of the trees, typically saving $2,000 - $4,000 for each neighborhood that participates. The program is great for new subdivisions and for revitalizing trees in older neighborhoods. • More Details • Neighborhood Grant Application
