Fraudulent
E-mails Sent to CFU Customers
Warning: If you receive an e-mail that appears to be from CFU asking you
to verify your account number, DO NOT RESPOND. CFU will
never request your username or password via e-mail. Any message that
asks for this information is not from CFU. It is a fraudulent message sent for
the purpose of identity theft.
This type of fraud is called
phishing.
Some
CFU customers have received phishing messages.
If you replied to a message like the one shown below by sending your username and password, call the CFU Help Desk
immediately at 268-5221. Your e-mail account will be disabled and you will be
asked to change your password.
