Access the On Demand menu by doing any of the following
> Press the On Demand button on your remote control
> Tune to channel 1
> Press the Menu button on your remote control, select the On Demand icon and press OK or Enter
> Press the Menu button twice, select On Demand and press OK or Enter
Navigate within the On Demand menu
> Use the arrow keys to highlight the menu item you want, then press OK or Enter to select that item.
> Continue using arrows and the OK button to advance through the menu screens.
> To return to the previous menu screen, press LAST. Continue pressing LAST to step backwards through the On Demand menu.
> To exit the On Demand menu, press EXIT.
Control programming while you watch
> First, press the CABLE button your remote control to direct commands to your cable set-top box.
> To stop, press the STOP button on the remote control.
> To pause, press the PAUSE button on the remote control.
> To fast forward, press the FAST FORWARD button. There is one fast forward speed. Press PLAY to resume the program.
> To rewind, press the REWIND button. There is one rewind speed. Press PLAY to resume the program.
> To resume a program or movie you have stopped, go to the My Rentals
folder in the On Demand menu. Select the program or movie you want to resume, and press PLAY
. The program will resume from the point where you stopped.Rent a movie
> Press the CABLE
button on your remote control to direct commands to your cable set-top box.
> Press the VOD
or On Demand button on your remote control to access the main On Demand menu.
> Highlight and select Movies on Demand
> Highlight the title you may want to rent and press OK
> Highlight the BUY
icon and press OK
. If you have set up parental controls, you will be prompted to enter a PIN.
> Your rented movie will begin to play. You can play it as many times as you want within the 24 hour rental period. To play it later, go to the My Rentals
folder in the On Demand menu. Select the movie and press PLAY
Set up Parental Controls to block adult content and/or hide adult titles
From the On Demand menu, select Locks or the padlock icon and press OK. The screen will prompt you to enter then confirm a four-digit locks PIN. Be sure to record the PIN number so you will be able to remember it in the future. The locks menu will be displayed. From the locks menu, you can set up any of the optional content controls listed below:
Hide titles of adult programs and moviesBlock programming by content rating
> From the locks menu, select Hide Titles and press OK.
> At the next screen, highlight Hide TV MA and Adult Titles or Hide Adult Titles, then press OK.
> When you return to the on-screen guide or On Demand menu, you will notice that the titles of these programs are no longer displayed; instead of the title you see the words Adult Programming. If a viewer tries to watch or rent a program with a hidden title, he will have to enter the PIN in order to access the program.
> From the locks menu, select Move Rating Locks or TV Rating Locks and press OK.
> On the next screen, select the rating where you want your lock to start and press OK. Programming rated at the level you select and all higher caution levels will be locked. Note that you can set up rating locks for movies or TV programs or both. If a viewer tries to rent or tune to a program affected by the rating lock, he will have to enter the PIN in order to access the program.
Require a PIN for access to the On Demand menu
From the locks menu, select Service Locks and press OK. At the next screen, On Demand service will be selected. Press OK. With the service lock activated, viewers will be prompted to enter the PIN before they can access the On Demand menu.
Restrict movie rentals (allow access to free content but prevent viewers from renting movies)
> Set up a Purchase PIN. To do this, go to the Locks menu by pressing MENU on your remote control, highlighting the padlock icon and pressing OK. Enter your locks PIN and the Locks menu will be displayed.
> At the Locks menu, select PINs Setup and press OK.
> Arrow down to the Enter New Purchase PIN box and enter the four-digit number you want to use as your purchase PIN.
> Press OK. The screen will prompt you to enter the number again to confirm. Be sure to record your purchase PIN so you will remember it.
> On the same screen, you can choose what you want to happen if the cable box loses power. We recommend you select YES, so that PINs cannot be over-ridden intentionally by someone who unplugs then turns on the cable box.
