Sometimes live sporting events run longer than the originally scheduled TV window due to extra innings or overtime. If you've set up the recording for the allotted air time only, the recording will stop at the scheduled time even if the event is still in progress.
To avoid this problem, set your recording time longer than the scheduled event.
