Receiving digital cable channels

If using an analog TV, you need either a set-top box or a digital-to-analog converter (DTA) to watch digital channels. Equipment information

If using a digital TV with a QAM tuner,* you can receive a digital signal for all of the channels in CFU's Basic and Basic Plus cable services without a set-top box or DTA. Use your TV's auto-detect or auto-channel-find feature to find and store the digital channels. Even with a digital TV, you will need a set-top box or cable card to receive HD cable channels and all channels numbered 100 and up. More on all-digital service

*Most, but not all, digital TVs have a QAM tuner inside that receives digital cable signals. Check your owner's manual.
