All Digital Service

Every network on CFU Cable is provided in standard (SD) and/or high definition (HD) digital format for the best possible picture quality on digital TVs. Unlike satellite TV services, CFU also provides 64 of the most popular cable channels in analog format, for convenient viewing on older TVs without a digital converter. Here's how CFU Cable works with every TV in your home:

Analog TV
Simply hook up your TV using co-axial cable to view 64 Basic and Basic Plus analog channels without a set-top box or converter.

Digital TV without a set-top box  If your digital TV has a QAM tuner* it will receive the standard digital signal for all CFU Basic and Basic Plus cable channels through a co-axial cable connection without a set-top box. The picture quality on your digital TV will be greatly improved if you view the digital signals rather than the analog signals. We recommend that you use your TV's channel scan feature to find and save the digital channels and delete the analog signals from your menu. The digital channels you can view without a set-top box are listed in the column labeled QAM on our Channel Guide.
*Most digital TVs have a QAM tuner but some do not; check your owner's manual.

Digital TV with an HD set-top box or HD DVR  For the best picture on your HDTV, connect it to an HD set-top box or HD DVR. With the box, you'll receive a true HD picture for the HD channels included in your cable package. The set-top box includes dozens of FREE HD channels, the interactive program guide, access to a huge menu of free and for-rent On Demand programming and 34 channels of commercial-free digital music. Choose the DVR for convenient and powerful recording features, including HD recording. To access recorded programs from other TVs in your home, use our multi-room DVR system.
